Weave Announces Expansion Into Canada

The “next unicorn” startup hails from Utah’s Tech Corridor

LEHI, UTAH, November 1, 2019 — Weave, the complete business toolbox and one of the fastest-growing companies in tech, announced today its expansion into Canada. The launch of Weave into Canada will aid small and medium businesses throughout the country with the full-stack communication suite that currently services over 15,000 customers in the United States.

The announcement comes after the company’s $70M Series D led by Tiger Global Management in October 2019, which jumped the company’s valuation by 3.2x in the past ten months. With this expansion, business owners across the United States and Canada have access to Weave’s streamlined approach to establishing and maintaining customer relationships, strengthening the ability for companies to grow their business through features like Two-Way texting, Email Marketing, Analytics, Scheduling, Team Chat, and Google Reviews procurement. A VoIP phone system connects the entire suite, allowing for customer personalization and greater organization for business managers and personnel.

“I am thrilled with this expansion,” said Brandon Rodman, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Weave. “The world needs Weave. We are helping businesses operate more efficiently. This funding will help us keep up with increasing demand, grow more rapidly in our existing markets, and help us to expand into new markets. The launch of Weave into Canada enables us to fully engage with a common approach across the border, streamlining our efforts and allowing us to tell a unified story about what it means to be an entrepreneur and a business owner. I’m proud of our team’s innovation that helped lead to this seamless solution for North America through Weave’s technology.”

Tiger Global, who led the round, is a new investor to Weave. Weave is backed by top-tier investors A Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Catalyst Investors, Crosslink Capital, Lead Edge Capital, Pelion Ventures, and Y Combinator.
