Dr. Shanika Esparaz graduated from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, where she was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honor societies for academic excellence and compassionate care. She has presented at national conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and was elected by her peers as an Ambassador for the Academy of Ophthalmology, serving as a delegate on Capitol Hill. She also represented the Department of Ophthalmology at Boston University Medical Center as its Quality Initiative lead.
